All Day Child Care
Adventure Place is open from 6:30am-6:30pm, Monday through Friday. While we offer preschool from 9:00-11:30am on those days, we also have all day child care available as well. For children that are enrolled in our all day program you have from open to close availability.
Morning
Upon arrival they will be offered breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7:00-8:30am. Then they move onto their designated classroom and engage in free play with friends. At 9:00am, the children clean up, use the bathroom and get ready for their morning of preschool! When preschool is over the children get washed up for lunch. Lunch is served at 11:45. During lunch the children are encouraged to try a bite of everything on their plate and to use their table manners. The teachers engage the children in conversation and model good table manners.
Afternoon
After lunch, they get their items ready for nap. It is a state licensing rule that every child must remain on their cot during nap time. If your child isn’t a “napper”, don’t worry. After 20 minutes of nap time the children that are still awake are offered a quiet activity to do on their cot. When nap is over the children use the bathroom and then its snack time! After snack is over the children gather in a circle time and plan their afternoon. In the afternoon, the children socially interact with their friends during free play as well as teacher guided activities. When the weather permits outside play is also integrated into the afternoon program.
